I spent a few hours

I spent a few hours today recreating the physics model from Sodaplay Constructor. I hope to use it as a basis for artificial life experiments similar to Karl Sims' creatures. I wrote a ton of code for a Sims-style system a few years ago, but couldn't write a decent physics engine, so I'm going to try again with a simple 2D model.

Three difficult programming assignments in

Three difficult programming assignments in the past five days. Today marks the finish. Spring break starts in 48 hours. My decompression is audible.

The weather has been extreme; 55º F at my last post, 0º the next two days, another 55º day, another 0º, and then today: 60º. It's predicted to stay warm, and they're washing layers of salt off of everything today. I've been in a computer lab for two hours, and I'll be here eight more.
